GTM Engineering Services

Most revenue teams do not have a strategy problem. They have a systems problem: data that never reaches the rep, handoffs that happen in Slack, and no way to prove which motion produced the pipeline. We build the layer that fixes it.

The Gap

Your GTM Strategy Is Fine. Your GTM Plumbing Is Not.

A modern go-to-market motion touches eight to fifteen tools between a first anonymous visit and a closed deal. Nobody owns the joins between them. So the account that visited your pricing page three times never gets routed, the enrichment your team paid for sits in a table nobody queries, and forecasting becomes a monthly argument about whose spreadsheet is right. GTM engineering is the discipline of treating that plumbing as a product with an owner, a spec, and tests.

01

Signals decay before they are used. Intent, funding, hiring and product-usage triggers are worth the most in the first 48 hours, and most teams act on them in three weeks, if at all.

02

Every rep builds a private workaround. Personal Google Sheets, saved Apollo searches, a Zap somebody set up and left. None of it is versioned, tested, or transferable when that rep leaves.

03

Attribution is retrofitted, not designed. Nobody instruments the funnel until the board asks where pipeline came from, at which point the historical data needed to answer it does not exist.

How We Build It

Four Phases From Audit to a System Your Team Actually Runs

Step 01

Map the Revenue Graph

We trace every object and event from first touch to renewal, which system creates it, which one it syncs to, where it silently drops. The output is a single diagram of your actual revenue graph, usually the first time anyone has seen it end to end, plus a ranked list of the joins that are costing you the most pipeline.

Step 02

Fix the Data Layer First

No outreach system outperforms the data underneath it. We consolidate accounts and contacts to one canonical record, define the enrichment waterfall and its fallbacks, set deduplication and normalisation rules, and put a freshness SLA on every field a rep or a model is expected to trust.

Step 03

Build the Motions on Top

Once the data is dependable we build the motions it enables: signal-triggered outbound, lifecycle sequences that read product usage, routing that respects territory and capacity, and agentic research that drafts the first version of a rep's account plan. Everything is version-controlled and testable, not clicked together in a UI.

Step 04

Instrument, Then Hand Over

Every motion emits events into your warehouse from day one, so attribution is a design decision rather than an archaeology project. We document the system, train your team on it, and stay on to operate it for as long as you want us to, or hand you the keys entirely.

What You Get

Deliverables

  • A revenue graph diagram covering every system, object and handoff in your funnel
  • A canonical account and contact model with enrichment waterfalls and freshness SLAs
  • Signal-triggered outbound and lifecycle motions, deployed and running in production
  • Warehouse-level event instrumentation feeding a single attribution model
  • Runbooks, architecture docs and a live handover so the system survives without us
Qualification

Is This You?

Strong fit

  • You are between $1M and $50M in revenue with a working sales motion that does not scale past the people running it manually.
  • You already pay for a CRM, an enrichment vendor and a sequencer, and suspect you are using a fraction of what you bought.
  • Someone on your team can make decisions about the GTM stack without a six-month procurement cycle.

Not a fit yet

  • You have not closed your first ten customers yet. You need founder-led selling and conversations, not infrastructure.
  • You are looking for an agency to send volume cold email on your behalf. That is not what we build, and it will not work.
Next Step

Start With the Audit, Not the Contract

The first conversation is a 30-minute working session on your actual funnel. You leave with the two or three joins that are leaking the most pipeline, whether or not you engage us to fix them.

FAQ

Common Questions

How is GTM engineering different from RevOps?

RevOps owns process, governance and reporting; GTM engineering owns the code and infrastructure underneath it. In practice they overlap heavily, and most teams under 200 people need one function that does both. If you already have a strong RevOps lead, we typically work as the build arm they have never had budget to hire.

Do you replace our existing tools?

Rarely. Most engagements start by making the tools you already pay for actually talk to each other. We only recommend replacing something when the cost of working around its limits exceeds the migration cost, and we will show you that maths before you decide.

What does a typical engagement cost and how long does it run?

Scoping is done against a measurable outcome (pipeline created, CAC reduced, or cycle time cut) rather than a fixed package. Most builds run six to twelve weeks to first production motion, with an optional operating retainer after that. Pricing is discussed on the first call once we know the scope.

Will our engineering team need to be involved?

Minimally. We work inside the GTM stack and your warehouse, not your product codebase. We usually need read access to a database or a data warehouse and one engineer available for about an hour a week to unblock access questions.
